It is not possible to update my account because something is not working?

It is possible to update your account in QuickBooks Online (QBO) after a few hours, Jane. Let me add some details regarding the error you received.

The error 9999 indicates a temporary issue with your account due to connectivity issues with your financial institution and will resolve itself.

In the meantime, you can manually upload your transactions into the program. Beforehand, please take note of the date of your oldest transactions so you can pick a start date when importing them.  

To begin with, you'll need to download CSV files of your transactions from your bank. Here's how:

1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
2. Follow the instructions on how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer.
3. Make sure the date range for the download begins at least one day before your oldest transaction.
4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.
