Modern View Incorrect Financial Year dates

It seems that the modern view has the fiscal dates as the default Financial Year dates. 

This is very frustrating as we have to change the date manually now and it leaves the possibility of running the wrong report if we forget the dates change.

The classic view seems to have the correct setting but every time if we click on an item and click on back to report, it reverts to the modern view with the incorrect dates.

This is unsatisfactory as we spend so much time now just selecting dates.

I will be seeking alternative products for all my clients.
