My quickbooks and bank balance don't match! Also, it says I have 'cash in hand' from last year balance from my opening account - this isn't the case - any advice?

Let me assist you with your concerns about the QuickBooks register and the bank balance in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

If your bank registered balance in QuickBooks Online doesn't match your actual bank balance, several factors may cause the balances to vary. After you determine why they don't match, they would need to be fixed.

 

Balances may not match for several reasons:

 

  • Outstanding transactions
  • New transactions for a connected account
  • Duplicate transactions
  • Edited or deleted transactions
  • Credit card (liability) account

On the other hand, regarding the cash on hand you mentioned, can you tell me more about it? When performing a certain transaction, which part does the message pop-ups? I'd also appreciate it if you could provide me with a screenshot.
