my submission is pending - what does this mean

I had a colleage who has left and im trying to submit  for outstanding months so NI contributions are up to date so i can pay the outstanding balance.

 I have 2 over due submission and one which now states Pending - do I wait or is there an issue. Pening has been there since Sunday
