My trial balance is not balancing, how do I correct this

If the numbers are off on a report, let's make sure to set the correct Report period and Accounting method (Cash or Accrual). Then, click the Run report button to see the changes.

Otherwise, do the basic troubleshooting steps. Sometimes, this sort of behavior is often a result of browser hang-ups, which can be resolved by clearing the cache. Before doing so, let's try accessing your account in a private browser or incognito. This mode helps us verify if this is caused by the system or a browser-related problem.

 

You can use these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

 

Once done, try to run the report and check the figures. If you see the correct balance in the Trial Balance report, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing cache helps refresh your browser settings. Please make sure to close and re-open your browser afterwards.

 

Alternatively, try using a different supported browser.
