Question

My VAT return is only showing for one month 1-30 Sept instead of 1 Sept to 30 Nov. Any idea how I fix this please? It is usually an easy 3 month report so no idea why.

I have used quickbooks for a few years and never had this issue. I have tried adjusting the vat period but the 'open return' start and end date stay showing just September only. I need to correct it to reflect the quarter. Any solutions gratefully received. Thank you!

Thank you for doing some initial troubleshooting steps. Aside from changing the VAT period, you can also do the basic browser troubleshooting steps.

 

We can start with siugning in to QBO using an incognito or private browser. Using a private or incognito browser window can help rule out issues related to your browser's cache or cookies. When you use a private browsing window, your browser won't store any history, cookies, or cached data from your session. This can help ensure that you're starting with a clean slate and may resolve issues related to stored data in your regular browser.

 

  • For Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Command + Shift + N (Mac)
  • For Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P (Windows) or Command + Shift + P (Mac)
  • For Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Command + Shift + N (Mac)
  • For Safari: Press Command + Shift + N

 

If using private browsing resolves the issue, you can return to your regular browser and clear the cache. If the issue persists, please try using a different browser to isolate the problem.
