I can help you with resolving the error you're having with your dashboard, @handymanpaul.

It's possible that piled-up cache in your regular browser caused this unusual behaviour when trying to set the date range. You can clear your current browser’s cache to resolve this.

First, you'll have to sign in to your QBO account using a private browser. This helps isolate the issue since it doesn’t store data in the cache. Here are the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge:  CTRL + Shift + P

If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Restart your browser right after. You can also proceed by using other browsers if the steps above don’t work.

Here's more information about the Business overview of your Home Dashboard: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for QuickBooks Online. This will guide you on how to track Cash Flow, your business's profitability with profit and loss, expenses, invoices, and sales widgets.

You can also check the following article on how to run reports: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you need further help with your dashboard or anything else. I'm always here to assist. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for getting back to us in the Community, @handymanpaul. I’ll be glad to assist you in sorting this issue with your QuickBooks Online in your iPad.

At the moment, the option to customise the date range for the Profit and Loss report on an iPad is unavailable. As a workaround, you can log in to your QBO account through a browser on your iPad and run the report from there.

Here’s how:

  1. Click Reports from the left menu.
  2. Search for the Profit and Loss report.
  3. Select the Last Fiscal Year from the Report period drop-down.
  4. Click Run Report.

Check this link for more details on what reports you can run on the iPad: FAQs When Using iPad.

In addition, here are a few extra articles that can help you along the way:

I’m always ready to assist you if you have any other questions or concerns about your reports in QBO. Tag me in your reply and I’ll sprint back into action. Have a good one and keep safe.
