I'm here to help you handle the accounts in QuickBooks Online.

Let's make sure to select the Sub-account of the checkbox, then choose the sub-account. In case you need the steps to add a subaccount, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the Lists menu, then select Chart of Accounts.
2. Select the + icon.
3. Choose the account type on the Type▼ dropdown menu.
4. Enter the account name and description.
5. Select the Subaccount of the checkbox, then select the parent account.
6. Hit OK.

If the parent account still shows a $0.00 balance, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages, thus causing some unusual responses.

Let's log in to your account using a private browser. This mode will not save any history, making it a great place to identify browser issues.

You may use these shortcut keys that I've listed below:

• Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N  
• Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it works successfully, you'd want to clear your regular browser's cache to prevent any unexpected behavior. Also, you can use other compatible browsers in QBO.
