Question

Please can someone advise how I link my Payroll so it appears as an Expense in my Chart of Accounts? The Title already exists in my Chart of Accounts but it is saying 0.

Hello there, @ellemalyan

 

You'll want to connect your bank feed to QuickBooks to match and select the correct expense account for the employee payments to reflect it chart of accounts. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select Connect from the landing page, or select Add account if you already have an account.
  3. Search for your bank and select Continue.
  4. Read through the terms and conditions, then select Agree.
  5. Follow the steps on your bank's internet banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account. 
  6. Select the bank accounts you want to connect, and which accounts they will link to in QuickBooks.
  7. Click Connect
