The date period s correct

I Use three accounts:

  • Daily Sales Services
  • Daily Sales Products
  • Daily Sales Tips

All income accounts

But the total is still £0 on the business overview page,

When I check the data set on the graph its grouped by customer, not product/service can this be changed?

Hello Monty250,thanks for coming back to us on this post, so no you can't change it because the sales widget on the dashboard is displaying information from the sales by customer detail report, if that is where you are looking at. You would need to look at other reports to get the information you want to see.

Hi Monty250,

Thank you for following the steps in the article for recording daily sales. I'll help you out.

The Business Overview page consists of many reports, and I assume you're referring to the Profit and Loss section where you can see your accumulated income.

You will get zero income if the dates of your transactions are not covered on the report date or if you used items that do not have an income account. Meaning the type of account that is assigned in their Income account fields is not Income.

Please note that Profit and Loss is account-based, meaning only those items used in sales with an income account (and expense) assigned in their Income account fields are reported there. Therefore, those sales from items that use Undeposited Funds and cheque are not included. What items did you use in your sales receipts?

Let us know if you have more questions about your report.

Hi, thank you for your reply

The profit and loss is correct, but I cannot see any sales just £0 for every day

All sales are entered as daily totals using the above method

Thanks Monty250, are you running the report for the correct period, and are you able to see a figure in your Daily Sales Income account when navigating to the Cog > Chart of accounts > Account history?
