Thanks for reaching the Community space, @FredDogsMum.

Having a single column for Trial Balance is unavailable because it summarizes the debit and credit balances of each account during a period time and that’s how it’s reported in QuickBooks. Though, you can export the report to excel so you can customise it into one column.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Trial Balance under For my accountant column.
  3. At the top of the report, select the Export icon. Then select Export to Excel.
  4. Save the file somewhere you can easily find, like your Downloads folder or your desktop.

You can click this article for more details: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, here's an article that will give you a snapshot of your business and how to run reports for speceific accounts: Run reports in QuickBooks Online. It also contains links like customising, memorise etc.
