I would like to produce a Product and Service Detail report which I can include our suppliers costs against each customer at the time of the transaction. Is this something you can help with?

Hello Titan3, thanks for posting on the Community page. So you could have a look at the report called Sales by Product/Service Detail Report or Purchases by Product/Service Detail Report see if they show what you are looking for you can also click on customise top right to filter the report down so it just shows what your after then click run report and it will just show the report with the details you have selected.
