Question

Run report by sub-customer without column for parent customer

Hello,

When I run a report overview on a budget subdivided by a sub-customer, the report always includes a column for the parent-customer. Is there a way to avoid this so that only the column for the sub-customer remains?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate the steps you've done, @JPollard.

You can export the report to Excel and edit the parent account from there. This way, only the information for your sub-customers remains in the report. Let me guide you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Search for and select the report you want to export.
  3. Select the Report period in the drop-down ▼
  4. Click the Run report button.
  5. Tap the Export icon, and then choose Export to Excel to continue.

For more details, click this article: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

You can also customize the reports to show the specific data you need before exporting it to Excel. I got you this article that can guide you through the steps: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Also, you'll want to click the Memorise button so you won't have to go through the customization process again. To learn more about this, click this article: Memorise reports in QuickBooks Online.
