Sales no longer downloading to CSV

Another day, another QB issue, why oh why do they continue to "upgrade" the platform.

A simple task.

All Sales

Click the ACTION icon to download All Transactions into a CSV file.

As of today, no longer works.

I hate the new format that when you click on a sale it no longer takes you in to the invoice, it means extra clicks every time i want to view an invoice.

I Hate the fact that payment transactions now appear in All Sales

and now i Hate that simple functions in the platform no longer work.

Hate the fact that i cannot email support to get a direct answer, instead i have to sit and wait for a community to sugar coat my issues and imply it is my computer, or my cache, or my internet etc.etc.

Totally fed up with this company.

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, Pennine_Jim. I'll share information about the exporting sales data issue in QuickBooks Online. Also, I understand that things have been challenging for you with the new QuickBooks interface. With this, I'll ensure you can send a suggestion so it'll be forwarded to the Product Development Team.

Please know that the Export icon that helps to download all transactions into a CSV file with a new look on the All Sales tab is currently being investigated. As a workaround, I suggest running any Sales report to show all entries and export it.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Business overview menu on the left panel and select Reports.
  2. Use the Find report by name search bar to search for reports by name. You can also browse the list.
  3. Choose the specific report to open it.
  4. Click the Export icon.

I also suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team so they can add you to our notification list. This will help our engineers determine the number of affected users. You'll also receive updates through email once the issue is resolved.

On the other hand, I can see how vital it is for your company to use the old format to handle sales transactions quickly. With this, please know that returning to the previous interface is currently unavailable. I suggest sending feedback so you can request about having the option to go back to the old platform. Any recommendations are sent to our engineers for consideration in future updates.

Lastly, I'm also adding this article if you need more help managing your customer's data in the future: View sales transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I've got your back if you have more questions about the sales section and other QuickBooks-related concerns. I'm always around to help, Pennine_Jim. Take care and have a great day!
