The app no longer lets me get a custom profit and loss it only gives the option of today’s date since the date select format was changed.

Thanks for your post, we've raised this to our developers and they're working to restore the custom option on the report, I've linked your account to this so that you'll be notified via email once the fix is released; in the meantime please use the browser version to run this. 🙇‍♀️
