When I click Previous, it doesn't lead me to the last transaction encoded.

Is there a way to arrange the way QB sorts my transactions encoded? Whenever I click previous, I am not lead to the last encoded. I want to see which is my last encoded so that whenever I pause for a while, I can see where I stopped. I am pertaining to Receive Payments, Make Deposit, Create Invoice and wherever there is "Previous" button.

Thank you in advance for whomever responses.

Hi Arzini,

Welcome back to the community.

In terms of using the 'Previous' button on any of the transactions, this will take you back chronologically by date through your transactions ,as opposed to taking you back to the last transactions you have created.

For example, say you entered in an invoice dated within QuickBooks for the 01.08.2019. Then the next transaction you entered was dated 23.09.2019. If you were then to press the 'Previous' button in the create invoices section , this will take you to the transaction that is the closest previous transaction in terms of date order E.G an invoice dated the 21.09.2019 within QuickBooks; regardless of the actual order in which these transactions were entered.

Don't worry though! there is a way to get the information you need. If you navigate to the 'Reports' tab across the top, and then select 'Accountant and taxes,' and choose ' Audit Trail.' This will show each transaction enetered within QuickBooks in order and can be modified to show only certain transaction types and dates.

Thanks!

Chris.

No, the way the previous and next buttons work are hard wired and can not be changed
