Why does Bank Reconcile often Report Differences, when it is in fact Correct?

Day One: £57.70 difference Day Two: £49.85 difference Day Three: £1,406.15 difference (visit Transactions - Banking screen and return to Accounting - Reconcile) Day three (again): NIL difference If I had any hair, I would tear it out!!!!!!!

Thanks for checking with us, The Old Oracle. Let's get this sorted out.

 

You may want to check and review the Audit Log then filter the view to Reconciliation to see if an unreconciling process happened.

 

 

If there are unreconciled transactions, you can manually reconcile them. Here's how:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.
  2. Under Your Company, select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Locate the appropriate account for the transaction.
  4. From the Action column, select View Register (or Account History).
  5. Identify the transaction to edit.
  6. In the reconcile status column (indicated by a check-mark), repeatedly select the top line of the transaction to change the status of the transaction. Codes indicate the status of the transaction:
    1. C - Cleared
    2. - Reconciled
    3. Blank - Not cleared or reconciled
  7. Select Save.
