Hi @123146398773134,

I appreciate you for reaching out to us here in the Community. I know how beneficial being able to change the order of the accounts when running the report in QuickBooks.

Also, having the necessary options will help users save time with editing the data. I want to share some information and help you with the report concern.

Since the source of the report is the chart of accounts, the system follows its sequence. It defaults to show the same order from that specific section.

Currently, the option to change them directly in QuickBooks is unavailable. For now, the only workaround is to export the data to Excel and change the order manually.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Trial Balance report.
  2. Click the Export icon in the upper-right corner of the report.
  3. Select Export to Excel

While we assess this, I recommend sending your feedback to our product engineers. This way, they'll be aware of the features and options to consider in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Share your feedback.
  4. Hit Next to submit.

For more information about the chart of accounts, as well as how to add account numbers, I recommend the following article: Learn about the chart of accounts in QuickBooks.

Please know that I'm just a post away if you need assistance with the reports in QuickBooks. Take care.
