Is anyone having an issue with printing 1099NEC forms in QB online?

I have tried changing print settings and can't get the proper aligment on the actual forms

I have tried on several different printers and can not find the solution

I appreciate you for trying other printers and changing the print settings, 651. Let's go over more troubleshooting to help you align and print Form 1099-NEC successfully.

Before we begin, may I know if there are any specific error messages you encountered when printing the 1099-NEC? It will help me gather more resolutions according to your situation.

Sometimes, browsers hold information that causes unusual behavior while working with QuickBooks. To verify if this is a webpage issue, use these keyboard shortcuts to open incognito or private windows:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

If you're able to print a form from there, I recommend going back to your original browser and clearing its cache to start fresh.

Misalignment when printing forms and other transactions can be a website or a printer issue. Intuit also recommends using either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. To start with Chrome, follow these steps:

1. On Chrome, click the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner, then select Settings.

2. Press Privacy and Security and then Site Settings.

3. Pick Additional Content Settings, then PDF Documents.

4. Enable Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome.

5. Try printing your 1099s again.

If it's still off, tap the More Settings dropdown in the print window and make sure that Fit to Printable Area or Fit to Paper is not selected in the Scale dropdown.

If you're using Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Mac, navigate to Step 2 on this article for the instructions: Print your 1099 and 1096 forms. Select QuickBooks Online, then go to Have problems printing?

You can use this guide for any revisions after you e-filed them: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.

Don't hesitate to post a reply below of how this troubleshooting goes. I'm always around and ready to help with more tax or form concerns. Stay safe!
