Access to Transaction Detail by Account Denied

When I try to click on Transaction Detail by Account under Reports, the message says "You don't have access to this feature. Ask your administrator to give you access."

I am the administrator and the only user. No restrictions are set under Company > Users & Passwords. How do I get to the Report I need?

I can help run the Transaction Detail by Account report, repsuerte

The message you're getting occurs when you're a restricted user for a certain feature in the account. This can be resolved by editing the user access and permission and making sure that you've logged in as a Master Admin to isolate the issue.

Since you're using the admin already, let's try performing some basic troubleshooting by running the Verify/Rebuild tool. This helps identify the most commonly known data issues within the file and resolves it.

Before we begin with the troubleshooting, let's secure a backup of your company file. Once done, we can proceed to verifying and rebuilding your data in QuickBooks Desktop.

Here's how:

  1. Click File at the top menu.
  2. Go to Utilities.
  3. Select Verify. The, repeat the first two steps and select Rebuild.

If the issue persists, I'd highly suggest communicating with our Technical Support again. They have available tools to examine the main cause of the problem. Also, can create an investigation if necessary.

Here's a complete guide to know more about the feature and functions of QuickBooks Desktop for Mac: QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2020 User’s Guide.

I'll be right here if you need anything about QuickBooks. Wish you all the best.
