Question

After we got forced into the "new"invoice (without warning) and I tried to go back to my custom invoice, now it's showing "payment method" on the actual invoice

it doesn't appear ANYWHERE in the template (never did). Absolutely HATE the "new" invoice. seems like the ONLY reason it was put into place was so that Intuit could push using their credit card payment services. NO thanks. I want my invoices to look exactly the same as they did. how do I fix this?

I hear your sentiments, @ccramer.

Please note that as of May 6, 2024, all QBO versions do not have the option to revert back to the old invoicing layout. With the new invoicing experience, QuickBooks ensures the product meets diverse business needs and enhances productivity. Rest assured, this will not affect your existing data and will stay accessible even after moving to the new layout.

Refer to this article that guides you through the features available in the new release of invoice and estimate layouts: See what’s new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

For now,  I encourage you to submit feedback requests to our product developers. Rest assured that they will review it and may consider it for future updates depending on the number of users' requests. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Additionally, here's an article on how to personalize and add specific details to your invoice and other form styles in the program: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I'm all ears if you have other concerns about the new invoice layout or other QBO features. Keep safe.
