Welcome to the Community, @hr26. QuickBooks only supports U.S. based accounts. Thus, your contractor must have a US bank account to meet the requirements.

In the meantime, you can utilize your bank's transfer service such as Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online (QBO) to pay your contractors with foreign accounts.

For more details about Online Bill Pay and how to set this up, please check these articles:

You can also find a third-party application that suits your business needs through the QuickBooks App Store

Are there fees involved?

Thanks for joining this thread, @bivanchak

The fees will depend on the Bill Pay application you want to use in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you're referring to the Online Bill Pay service, there's no monthly subscription fee, but the charge is per transaction.

For the Bill.com app, there are multiple plans per month for each user. Additional transaction fees will also apply.

To compare the pricing and features between the two services above, check out this article: Chart

If you're referring to the third-party application, I'd suggest contacting their dedicated support team to know more about their fees.

In case you want to use the first option, I recommend signing up for it. This way, you can make vendor/contractor payments from within QBO easily.

Also, I suggest visiting this website: Online Bill Pay FAQs. It contains answers to the frequently asked questions about this service and the benefits of using it.
