Question

Am I the only one dealing with terrible changes to quickbooks app interface? specifically with invoices? everything looks different and difficult to navigate.

My Business information is inaccurate. I had to update everything. I can't find previous invoices from clients. its just not working right. I've spent over 3 hours on the phone with intuit and no one resolves it. its been a waste of my time. I need this resolved asap.is anyone else dealing with this?

Do not like the latest changes. I feel like the updates are just to justify continued subscription cost hikes, but do little to improve the ease-of-use and only add time and frustration to features and functions the user has already spent hours and days learning. Quickbooks, just leave well enough alone and stop raising the price.

Opened my app today, and 75% of it is missing. All of my shortcuts, and now I don’t even have the ability to create and send estimates or invoices using the app.

I'd like to understand your concern better. Could you let me know if you're using an Android or iOS device? This will help me check for any ongoing investigations related to your issue and the software you're using.

 

In the meantime, let's perform the basic troubleshooting to isolate if it's a mobile app-related issue.

 

For iOS

 

  1. Go to Settings, then tap General.
  2. Click iPhone Storage, then tap the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Select Offload App.

 

This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.

 

For Android

 

  1. Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Select Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Click YES to confirm.

 

If the issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the Online mobile application. Otherwise, you can create and send estimates in QBO using other supported browsers.

This new app update is HORRIBLE. Cant see past invoices. cant add an overpayment to current invoice so shows as credit. creating an invoice is just too many steps that we didnt have before. Juat bad this new update QB needs to do something about this asap. I always ran company via app 95%, now i cant do simple things and finding myself bringing out my laptop alot more often. Its really frustrating.

First and foremost, I want to assure you that your feedback is invaluable to us, and we take it seriously. The recent update to the QBO mobile app was designed to enhance the overall user experience and provide a more streamlined invoicing process in the long run.

 

In the latest QuickBooks Online app update, you can still view your past invoices by accessing the Invoices menu. However, the new update only allows filtering the invoices by status and no longer supports filtering the invoice list by date.

You are correct that the updated QBO mobile app only allows for exact payment and does not support recording overpayment or partial payment. In the meantime, I recommend using the website to access your account and add an overpayment to the current invoice.

 

I understand that the transition has been challenging. However, for now, it would be most effective to communicate your feedback directly to our Product Developers. They are genuinely interested in hearing your input and highly encourage you to share your suggestions by providing feedback.

 

To send your input, here's how:

 

  1. Tap the Menu ☰ icon
  2. Click Help & Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestions and then click on Next.

I cannot find anything for my independent contractor input for my 1099s. This is horrible. The old was easy to use and now i cannot find anything. Let alone I cannot get anyone on the phone and I am still paying big money for something I cannot use. Every July I come in and do my input and there is nothing here. This is pretty disqusting. I used refer people to quick books but not anymore. I know your platform, make it harder so we have to pay for book keeping. Not happening. 

This is horrible and noone to talk to.

You are definitely not the only one. The new QuickBooks online updates have more than tripled the time I previously spent on invoicing. The recent updates are trash and absolutely must change or we are hitting the road and will move our three companies to a new platform. It is insane!!

Thank you for your response. It is extremely frustrating. I noticed a couple of days ago while I was invoicing it became EVEN MORE TIME CONSUMING. I use to be able to tab through the invoice without having to actually use the mouse to click on the fields. I could type a few letters and it would populate the item I am looking for. I can still do that. BUT, Now, if I don’t use the mouse to click on the field I am typing in, when I get to the end of that line item it does not add a new line.I have to click the “+” to get a new line everytime. 
Have you looked at other programs?

One of the things they took away was a crucial field we used to use on forms for internal notes. Please see screenshot. Is there any way for us to get this functionality back again?

 

As far as Intuit goes I can only laugh about the claims that you "value feedback". The only thing you "value" is turning our software into a 24/7 advertisement machine trying to shove new services we don't want down out throats. Care about our feebback LOL. What an insult to our intelligence.

I am also dealing with this. I was able to change the invoice layout online but it doesn’t transfer to the app and I cannot change the layout in the app. I have talked with 3 different agents and they cannot help. I have requested IT call me but we’ll see.  I wish they wouldn’t have messed with it before consulting us.
