AMEX Expenses & General Ledger Mapping

Does anyone know of a good app that offers general ledger mapping with American Express expenses?  Exporting to Excel transactions for each company card each month to map to my GL accounts is time consuming and I'm getting tired of it.

As mentioned by my colleague, QuickBooks Desktop can integrate multiple third-party applications. However, we're unable to recommend a specific app. Instead, you can follow these steps on how to check the most used ones:

  1. Go to https://desktop.apps.com/home.
  2. From the All Applications tab, enter a keyword in the search field about the app you need.
  3. From the Sort By: drop-down, you can select either Popularity or Rating.

 

Also, from the list of related apps, you can check the Compare tickboxes, then click Compare button to see their similarities and differences. This will you to decide the best app for your business.

 

If you need more references in handling your expenses, please visit this page: Expenses and vendors. This is where you can see all articles on how to enter expenses, pay bills, write checks, and manage suppliers.

Hi there, @boss429.

 

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) offers a lot of third-party applications that can help map the general ledger with American Express expenses. You can go to the App Center and search for a third-party app. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu, then select App Center:Find More Business Solution.
  2. In the Apps for QuickBooks Desktop Marketplace window, search for an app.

 

Or you can directly go to this link and look for an application: https://desktop.apps.com/home.

 

If you have further questions about the third-party app you're going to use, I recommend contacting their customer service team.
