Easily locating a specific invoice not only saves time but also adds convenience, especially when you have a large volume of transactions in your account. I'm here to assist you in finding the paid invoice, Bienetrestaffing!

An invoice won't show up in your account once it has been deleted. You can use the search field to locate a specific invoice and enter the customer's name. This will bring up a list of all the invoices and payments associated with that customer, making it easier to find the missing invoice. Here's a screenshot for your reference:

This will now show the list of invoices and payments for a particular customer. You can also run the Invoices and Received Payments reports and double-check if your Oct 18 invoice is already on the list. If it is, you can click the actual invoice so you'll be directed to the actual invoice page.

If you're unable to find the invoice, the transaction may be deleted. You can go to the audit log to track all the activities that are happening in your account. You will also see who made changes to your books including the invoice in question. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Audit log.
  2. Select Filter.
  3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  4. Select Apply.

Furthermore, aside from the report that I mentioned above, QuickBooks offers a variety of reports that can help you locate specific information. You'll only have to make sure to filter specific details so it shows the right data you need. Check out this article for reference: Customize Reports in QuickBooks Online.
