Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts about our new invoice template. Let me guide you through the steps in changing defaulted items on the invoice template.

QuickBooks offers customizable features that allow you to tailor the template to suit your needs better. Whether it's adjusting line items, adding specific details, or modifying the layout, we're committed to helping you create an invoice that aligns perfectly with your requirements. Here's how:

If you want to customize the appearance of your forms:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and then select Custom form styles.
  2. Click New style.
  3. Select the type of form you’d like to create a template for and choose Design.
  4. Give your template a name.
  5. Choose Change up the template to choose a layout. These layouts are fixed.
  6. Pick Make logo edits to adjust or hide your logo.
  7. Select Try other colors to pick a color scheme. You can enter a HEX code (the six-digit combination of numbers and letters for a color) for a truly custom color.
  8. Choose Select a different font to change the font and size.
  9. Select Edit Print Settings to adjust the margins. It is important if you send printed forms to your customers.

For detailed information, refer to this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Or, if you want to edit the content of your Sales Form:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Select Sales and click on the pencil icon.
  3. Turn On and Off the options you want to include in your forms.
  4. Click Save and then Done.
