Question

Anyone else not able to open invoices to record a payment?

I click on a customer, it brings up their account, i try to click on an open invoice and the only thing that happens is a grey shade covers the screen and the screen freezes….
I am unable to record any payments

Hi, jbgI appreciate you for reaching out to the Community about the issue of the invoice not opening.

 

I'm here to help troubleshoot what's causing the problem.  

 

Clicking on an open invoice from the customer you've selected on the Customers' page normally covers the display screen with a grey shade and displays an invoice details sidebar. I've added a screenshot below.
 


To isolate what's causing the problem, let's start by accessing your account through your browser's Incognito mode. 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Shift + Command + N

 

Once you have opened the browser window, log in to your QuickBooks account and see if you can open an invoice to receive payments through the Customers' page. If you can, proceed to clear your browser's cache. This process will remove and fix specific issues and help the program run optimally. Additionally, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

 

If the issue is fixed, you can deposit payments into the Undeposited Funds account and combine them into a single deposit once they are cleared in your bank.
