Question

Are columns frozen on iOS QBO app? Our customer list column won't retract and we can only view invoices and estimates on 2/3 of the screen. Customer list is always there.

Our iOS QBO app has had a glitch since January in which the customers list column that populates on the left 1/3 of the screen displaying our customers info and balance and balance due dates will never minimize. We can select a customer, then in the right 2/3 of the screen we can select one of their invoices or estimates, but when we do, the customer column to the left never goes away. Previously, when we'd select an invoice or estimate for a customer, said invoice or estimate would populate as a PDF and go full screen for the customer to easily review and sign. Now they see a scaled down 2/3 size screen version, making it more difficult to read and sign, and they can view our customer list on the left 1/3 column that should not be displaying, and is creating a bit of a privacy concern, as well as an unprofessional appearance on our part with this info on display. Is there a fix to this? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Hi there, Emerald.

Let's perform troubleshooting steps in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app on your iOS device to solve the glitch you're experiencing when viewing your customer list in your invoices and estimates.

Let's begin with ensuring your mobile app is up-to-date by checking for the concurrent version on your App Store. This way, you can ensure it has the latest patches and has resolved common issues.

Next, clear the app's data to avert more issues related to excessive cache accumulated. Cache temporarily accumulates space in the app and stows data it needs to access quickly. You can start by refreshing your QBO mobile app and IOS device settings. I'll be laying out steps below that you can follow:

To refresh your iOS QBO application:

1. Go to Menu ☰, then click Help & Feedback.

2. Select Refresh Data, then tap Refresh.

To refresh your iOS device settings:

1. From your phone's settings, select Settings

2. Click on General, then choose iPhone Storage.

3. Select the app, then Offload the App.

Furthermore, if the issue continues, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the application to start fresh. I also advise checking on the QBO mobile app system requirements to guarantee the compatibility of your iOS device with the app to run smoothly.

Additionally, I gathered these materials for you to check out as a reference for using the app:
