Are overdue invoices included with the count of open invoices and credits on the dashboard page?

Yes. The overdue, open, and partially paid credits will be counted on the dashboard page. Your QuickBooks dashboard is your all-in-one tool for viewing and controlling your business finances in real time. 

 

The invoice dashboard will display how many invoices are open and which ones are due. To view them, you can run the Open Invoice report, which allows you to keep track of invoice transactions in QuickBooks.

 

Also, you can turn on or turn off Automatically apply credits to customer balances or open invoices. Turn it off, if you want to decide which open invoices you want to apply credit memos to. I'm not sure you answered the question directly.

 

Are overdue invoices included and calculated within the open invoice number? Or are they separated out, was the question?

In QBO, overdue invoices are not included in the total count of open invoices; they are separated but are part of the overall open invoices list.
