Question

As of yesterday, I no longer have the ability to add a billable time event in the client dropdown menu. I have no idea why that changed or how to remedy it.

Thank you for posting her in the Community, jrg1. I'm here to assist you with troubleshooting steps to help you add billable time for your client.

Before doing so, let's make sure your client is using QuickBooks Online Plus and Essentials. This way, they can track and invoice your billable time, and keep all your billable expenses organized.

If you're using the said version and the issue persists, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times when the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors or unusual responses.

Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:

  •  Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

Once logged in, try to add billable time again. If things are working, then it's likely the browser that's causing the issue. It can be fixed by clearing your cache and cookies. You can also switch to a different supported browser.
