Assign Class Code at account Level.

Does anyone know if there is a way to assign a class code to a specific account? I have a few accounts that are class specific I would like to have automatically assign a class code to without having to choose it each time I enter a transaction. Not sure if this is possible yet but would be extremely helpful at the end of the month for reports.

Assigning a class automatically to a transaction in QuickBooks is a great functionality, Patrick. As of now, this option is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

I'd recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development team. This helps us improve your experience and the features of the program. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu and then select Send Feedback Online.
  2. Choose Product Suggestion.
  3. Add the type of feedback.
  4. Type in your feature suggestion.
  5. Once done, click Send Feedback.
