Automatic categories won't stop changing

For my bank account I have checks that are automatically being categorized. I have disabled the automatic category check box under the account but it still keeps changing the vendor and category. I have recorded a loom to show what is happening.

Hello there, sean. Please know that we're constantly improving our product features to improve our customer's experience while using QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Currently, there isn't a way to switch off the automatic categories because it's a built-in algorithm within QBO. Rest assured that the more transactions that are categorized, the better that QBO will suggest a payee or category in the future.

 

I recommend sending this suggestion directly to our product engineers. They are responsible for adding and changing the features in the program. Please note that the number of requests also impacts how our engineers decide on changes to the program.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Tap Next to submit.
