Balance Sheet by Class - QB Desktop 2021 Pro Plus

Is it possible to run a balance sheet by class in QB Desktop 2021 Pro Plus?

I have read through the various work arounds suggested in various threads on this forum but still unable to get a good balance sheet by class report.

Always get an error message indicating that it is out of balance and it is.

One issue observed is that checks written against a bank account are not properly reflected in the balance sheet by class (whether using detailed or summary balance sheet report). The expense side works fine but the balance sheet side does not reflect the check for that class.

Example:

Check for $100 assigned to Class A.

Expense report for Class A will show the $100

Balance sheet for Class A does not include the $100.
