Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser. If the same error persists, sign up for a separate Melio account for free to integrate with QBO.

You can get $100 as cashback to pay your first bill with credit card. T&C apply.

No worries, I'm happy to help you resolve the bill payment issue, norfino.

Did you receive any error messages while using the Bill payment feature? If so, may I know the exact wording of the error? This way, I can double-check our reports and give a suitable solution to help fix the issue.

You can click the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach or the camera icon to attach screenshots. See the sample picture below for more reference:

In the meantime, I'd recommend logging into your account through incognito mode, as Fiat Lux - ASIA was also mentioned. QuickBooks can act strangely when you have too much cache in your regular browser. This way, we can see if the problem is with the browser.

Here are the shortcuts for the keyboard:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
  •  Control + Option + P (Safari)
  •  Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

Once logged in, access the bill payment again to verify the error is resolved. If fixed, please return to your regular browser and press the CTRL+ Shift and Delete keys on the keyboard to clear the cache.

Once everything is fixed, continue paying your vendors. For more information, see this link: Enter and manage bills and bill payments in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, check out the following articles below to learn how to use Bill pay and manage vendor transactions in QuickBooks:

I'm getting the same pop up with Online Bill Pay. Won't allow me to get to bill pay, just keeps sending me back when I close it. The announcement that "Something new is coming" doesn't include anything about the current service being unavailable in the meantime. How can we still access the Online Bill pay?

July 11, 2023

I am having the same issue. I'm trying to pay a bill (I use Melio) and when I go to schedule the payment, a QB message pops up

A new approach to pay bills is coming soon, and I don't have an option to bypass it to continue to pay my invoice.

Has anyone been able to find a workaround for this?

@wcm

Try to signup a separate Melio account as I mentioned earlier.

July 11, 2023

I already have a Melio account.

I have the same problem, QBO pop up says they have a new Bill solution coming, but no way to continue paying bills with the current method?

July 11, 2023

In the same boat here.  Processed a bill payment last week with Melio, no issue. Now theres a QB message and it won't let me pay anything.  There needs to be a work around for this.

July 11, 2023

I did an online chat with QBO help and they sent me to Melio, and of course Melio has not responded except to say they received my email!  This is really unacceptable.  I have venders waiting on payments!

Hey,

I saw that too! Looks like there’s a bug but you can still make the payment by logging into Melio.coim directly with your QB login info. If you already have billpay in QB you don’t have to make a new melio account.

Hope this helps!

Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online isn't working right now. We're on it; please try again soon.

This is the message I am receiving. Anyone else getting the same?

Hey there, Ravin. I'm here to assist you in figuring out why you're seeing that message and give you some troubleshooting steps to resolve it.

Your browser might be blocking third-party cookies, causing the message to pop up. To fix this, please double-check your browser settings and ensure you have selected the option to Allow all cookies. By doing this, you should be able to get rid of the message.

If they aren't blocked, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support to have this checked further. They have tools to access your account and provide you with additional steps to resolve the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Select Search and tap Contact Us.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern and tap Continue.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us. Either Start a chat or Get a callback.

Additionally, you have the option to bookmark these links for more comprehensive details regarding Bill Pay:

Furthermore, I will also include an article to monitor the payments made to your vendors within a specific period: Run a report with vendor totals.

If you have any further questions or require assistance with any other QuickBooks task, please don't hesitate to add them below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
