In QuickBooks Online, creating tags allows you to keep track of specific transactions efficiently. With this, if you've already created tag groups, you can apply them when working on your pledge form entries. To do that:

 

  1. Go to the +New icon and select Pledge.
  2. Choose a donor and enter their other information.
  3. Under the Tags section, type in to add your specific tag, or click on Manage Tags.
  4. Verify all necessary details, then click Save & Close.

 

Once you receive the donation, here's how to record the receipt:

 

  1. From the + New icon, select Receive payment.
  2. Choose the donor and update the payment date.
  3. Click the Payment method ▼ dropdown, then choose how you receive the donation.
  4. Select the Deposit  ▼ dropdown and choose where the donation is going.
  5. Hit the checkbox for the pledge, then click Save and Send if you want to email your donor a receipt of the donation.

 

Additionally, you can manually review all your transactions and run specific reports to help you get detailed data on your business finances.
