I'd like to auto charge customers for services rather than wait for them to pay the invoice.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, ruby917300. Please know that the option to auto-charge customers for services in QuickBooks Self-Employed is currently unavailable. However, I can offer an alternative way to achieve this goal within the program.

For now, you have to manually mark the invoice of the customer as paid in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Invoices menu on the left panel.
  2. Find the invoice.
  3. Choose the small arrow ▼ icon in the Action column.
  4. Select Mark as paid. If you're on a web browser, choose Send to send your customer a copy of their paid invoice, or select Email if you're on the mobile app.

Furthermore, you can also find a specific app that you can integrate with QBSE. This will help you set up an automatic charge for services.

In case you need steps on how to add sales tax to your invoices in the future, you can use this article as your reference: Manually track sales tax in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please add a comment below if you have other follow-up questions about managing invoices or customer transactions in QBSE. I'm more than happy to help, ruby917300. Keep safe.
