Can I convert an existing invoice into a reoccuring invoice?

I have invoices already created and want to convert those into a reoccuring invoice.  Is that possible or do I have to recreate the entire invoice?  In that also, can we put parameters like:  %Month% in the description and will put the current month when the invoice gets created?

Thank you

Hello there, info-18thatwalde. I'd be happy to assist you on how to make your invoice recurring.

Certainly, within the old invoicing layout of QuickBooks Online (QBO), you have the option to convert an invoice into a recurring transaction by selecting Make recurring in the form's footer.

However, if you're using the new invoicing experience, you won't have the option to set it as recurring. Instead, you will need to create a recurring invoice manually. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Recurring transactions.
  3. Add New.
  4. Set transaction type to Invoice then OK.
  5. Fill out the necessary information.
  6. Hit Save template

Additionally, you can check out this article to see which experience you have and learn more about the new invoicing in QBO: See what’s new with Estimates and Invoices

I've also included this article to help you learn more about receiving invoice payments from customers: Record invoice payments in QBO
