Hi there, Annie. You can create a journal entry using multiple account names. Also, it's possible to add more lines as needed. I can guide you through the process.

When creating a journal entry in QuickBooks Online, you have to select two accounts for debits and credits. You can click the "Add Lines" button at the bottom of the Journal Entry page to add more lines. I'll show you how.

  1. Click +New. Select Journal Entry.
  2. On the first line, choose an account depending on whether you need to debit or credit the account.
  3. Pick another account where you want to transfer your money to or from on the second line.
  4. Enter the same amount in the Credit and Debit column. This process will ensure that the accounts are in balance.
  5. Press the Add Lines option if you want to add more lines.
  6. Once done, hit Save and close.

Moreover, you can reverse a journal entry if you need to update the information. This process will ensure your accounts stay balanced and accurate without deleting the transactions.

Keep in mind that when posting journal entries in QuickBooks, it is essential to ensure that the debits and credits balance. Accounting rules require this to maintain the accuracy of financial records. Let us know if you have other clarifications. We're here to help anytime, Annie.
