Question

Can I create a project profitability report that includes the individual costs of healthcare for each employee, since it's different for everyone?

The healthcare costs are one lump sum but I need to break it down by employee to provide a more accurate profitability by project.

It's not possible to directly include individual healthcare costs for each employee in a project profitability report within the program, mlackey1. However, you can achieve this by exporting and consolidating the data externally.

To start, access the Project Profitability Summary. This will provide insights into the income, costs, and profit margins for each of your projects:

  1. Go to Reports and select Standard reports.
  2. In the search field, type and open the Project Profitability Summary.
  3. Customize the report.
  4. Once done, click the Export icon and choose Export to Excel.

Next, export the Employee details to gather comprehensive information on each employee, including pay rates, deductions, and tax withholdings. Follow the same steps as outlined above to export this information. After exporting, proceed to consolidate the data for a comprehensive analysis.

Consider consulting with your accountant for tailored strategies for more precisely allocating unique healthcare costs per employee to projects.

Additionally, you can save and share a customized report in a group to enhance data accessibility and facilitate easier collaboration.
