Question

Can I delete QB invoices that are overinflating my sales because I use Square for payment methods? If so, how do I delete them?

My sales are nearly doubled each month because I think QBO is recording invoices as well as my Square deposits. I do not use invoices via QBO so I'm not sure why this is happening, or how to stop it.

Welcome to the Community, @guestservices-fu.

I'd be glad to help you delete your invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To start, It may depend on how your Square payments are set up, but please note that QuickBooks Online (QBO) only relies on received transactions from connected apps or banks. To prevent duplicates, make sure to use the "Match" option instead of "Add".

You can use the Batch action function to delete multiple invoices. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu, then select the Invoices tab.
  2. Check the invoices you want to delete (or check the box column to select all of them).
  3. Click the Batch Actions button.
  4. Select Delete.
