Question

Can I edit the information in the text box in an estimate email? it defaults to total due, it's an estimate so nothing is due.

in the email it is the first box shown and shows due: (date) and below in large print the amount of the estimate. This confuses the customer as they read it as full amount to be paid in full before the project begins. I just want to ability to change the word "due" to "projected cost".

Editing the estimate's information in the email's text box isn't available in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @userothfbiz. Let me go into details about this and provide an alternative option.

 

Removing the expiration date is the alternative way the due date will not appear when sending an estimate.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open your QBO account.
  2. Go to the +New icon, then Estimate.
  3. On the page, click Manage, then select Customization.
  4. Toggle the switch button off beside the Expiration date.
  5. Once done, click Save and close or Review and send.

 

 

You can also download the estimate and send it to your customers outside QuickBooks.
