Question

Can I get QB Online to auto-fill the PO field on invoices to the same customer/job? This worked automagically in QB Desktop.

I perform hourly services against a purchase order from a customer. When I used QB Desktop and created an invoice for this job and filled in the PO number on the invoice, future invoices on the same customer/job would remember the PO number and auto-fill it on the invoice. That does not seem to work in QB Online.

Hello, @steve-riverace. 

 

The option in QuickBooks Online (QBO) where the PO field on invoices is automatically filled based on previous entries for the same customer:job is currently unavailable. That would be a great addition to the current features that we have, so I'll take note of it. 

 

I also encourage you to leave the feedback from within the product. Here are the steps:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Provide your product suggestion. 
  3. Click on Next to submit feedback.
