Good Morning, @accounting377

I hope your day is going well so far. @Rustler is correct. There isn't a permission that only allows a user to create purchase orders. However, I can give you a brief rundown of the permissions that are in QuickBooks Online for users.

  • All access: Can see and do everything with customers, sales, vendors, and purchases.
  • Limited (customers and sales): Enter estimates, invoices, sales receipts, credit memos, and refunds.
  • Limited (vendors and purchases): Enter bills from vendors, cash, and credit card purchases.

  • Limited (customers and sales, plus vendors and purchases): They can't view bank registers and more.

  • None: Can only submit timesheets.

This is a link that can provide you with additional details about each user permission and type

Should you need any further assistance, just let me know. Have a great day!

Need this feature!

Purchase orders should be able to be separated from accounts payable.

Adding user permission can be helpful, Sv79.

I suggest sending feedback directly to our software engineers. They're taking notes of our customers' ideas and insights. It helps us improve our products and services. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.

The more request the feedback has, the more likely it'll be added in the next update.

On the other hand, I'll share an article on how to manage who can access your account as a future reference: Add, delete, or change user access.
