Can I split a saved invoice into two separate invoices?

The client asked if I could split an invoice I sent him into two different invoices with a different client name, so he could allocate costs for separate projects.  I tried editing the existing invoice but when changing the client name, it indicated that it would remove all linked time entries.  I doubt that I want to remove those permanently.

I understand that sometimes a customer has two projects that require splitting to allocate costs correctly. Currently, the option to split an invoice for separate clients is unavailable.

 

As a workaround, you can edit and adjust the current invoice by including the necessary time entries. After that, create a new one and add the remaining time entries for the other client. Thus, you can send two different invoices to a client.
