Can i view the customer message that is sent with an estimate?

after an estimate is sent via email, can i see the customer message that i wrote before i sent the estimate?

Welcome to the Community forum, Doreenavila.

 

Currently, there isn't a way to retrieve and view the customer message you previously sent in QuickBooks Online. You can only see the details of the estimate you create for that certain customer. 

 

Going forward, I'd recommend keeping a copy of any custom estimate messages you send. That way you'll have your own record. Let me show you how: 

 

  1. Navigate to Settings ⚙.
  2. Select Account and Settings, then Sales.
  3. In the Messages section, select the edit (pencil ✎) icon.
  4. Place a checkmark in the box next to Use greeting, then from the dropdown choose your ideal greeting.
  5. In the Sales Form dropdown, select Estimate.
  6. For the Subject and Email message, you can leave the verbiage in the box that is provided or type in your custom messages.
  7. Note: QuickBooks auto-fills an invoice subject line, which will override what you set up here. You'll have the option to revert this suggestion before you send the invoice.
  8. If you would like to receive a copy, place a checkmark in the box next to Email me a copy.
  9. Select Save and hit Done.
