Can only the "edited invoice" events be viewed within the audit log? Is it possible to see who entered the payment date received from the audit log?

Let me share some information on how the Audit log feature works in QuickBooks Online (QBO), seamusiclover.

The Audit Log records all account activity such as user sign-ins, changes to QuickBooks settings, edits to customers, vendors, employees, and payroll submissions. QuickBooks records the following in the audit log:

• The date of any change to your books
• The name of the user who made the change
• The type of change or event
• The name of any customer or vendor related to the change
• Any original transaction date and amount

We can also see who entered the payment date received from the audit log and not limited to who edited the invoice. On the other hand, you may see something called an "indirect edit". QuickBooks records indirect edits when someone changes a transaction that was already on your books. For instance, if someone edits a completed reconciliation. We can also run the Audit history. This serves as a record of all the changes made on a specific transaction. In the Audit history, you can find who made the changes, when the changes were made, and what the changes are. Here's how:

1. Open the transaction you'd like to investigate.
2. Tap More.
3. Click Audit history and this will open the Audit trail.
4. For an expanded view, select Show all, for a side-by-side comparison, select Compare.
