Can QB be set up to produce giving statements for church donors?

Yes, QuickBooks allows you to set up statements for nonprofit organizations and businesses. Please note, when creating donor statements needs to have transactions under a specific donor.

 

Let me show you how:

 

  1. From the left menu, select Sales, and select Customers.
  2. Choose the customer you want to create a statement for.
  3. From the Actions drop-down, select Create Statement.
  4. Select the type of statement you want to create.
  5. Set the Statement DateStart Date, and End Date.
  6. Select Apply to view the statement.
  7. Select Save.

 

You can also, create statements for multiple customers by following these steps:

 

  1. Select the New Plus icon (+) on the Toolbar.
  2. Under Other, choose Statement.
  3. Choose the recipients.
  4. You can select Print or Preview at the bottom or select Save and close when you're done.

Thank you for the reply, but the statements produced using this method do not include activity posted to Sales Receipts.  They only show payments posted to Pledges (Invoices).  I need a statement that shows ALL GIVING for individuals.  How would I accomplish this?

Yes, QuickBooks won't create a proper donor statement showing the donations received during a period.

 

Instead, you can use our BRC Donor Statements - QB Online  and/or our BRC Donor Statements - QB Desktop  tools. These tools use your QuickBooks data to create proper letter-like donation statements for a period, such as a month or year. They're very customizable. You can change include a table of donations that's fully customizable as well as specifying the text parts of the statement. These tools can also email your statements, when used with our BRC Excel Batch-Email Manager.
