Hello, william. I'll help you change your business company type and make sure you select the correct set-up you need for your business.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. It's important to note that your QuickBooks Online program's functionality may be impacted by how you initially set it up, especially if you don't require features like receiving payments, invoices, or bills. If so, you can change your company type and ensure your entity is correct. You must access your company settings and make the necessary adjustments to do this.

I'll show you how to do it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Account and Settings.
  3. Choose Company and click Company type.
  4. Go to the drop-down menu on the tax form.
  5. Select any business organization.
  6. Click on Save.

For further information and in-depth guidance on editing company settings in QuickBooks Online, I recommend an article that will be helpful. The article provides step-by-step instructions on navigating and updating the settings per your requirements. You can check out the article "Edit company settings in QuickBooks Online" to better understand the process.

We're open 24/7, so please don't hesitate to post a comment if you have further concerns or questions about business type. Have a good one.
