Can subtotal lines be added to estimates and invoices in the QBO mobile app?

They are very useful but I only see a way to add them in the website.

I can see how convenient to have this functionality, info-marvhensgar. 

 

Currently, the option to add subtotal lines to be added to estimates is unavailable in QuickBooks Mobile App. However, we are in the process of enhancing our product's features to provide your needs.

 

While our mobile app has some limitations, I suggest sending feedback directly to our Product Development team. They'll be able to review and may implement this in future updates. Go to the Gear icon at the top and select Feedback.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Let me share some insight about how the subtotal line works in QuickBooks. In QuickBooks Online, the subtotal line is a line item that calculates the total of all the items or services before any taxes or discounts are applied. It summarizes the individual line items' costs and helps determine the subtotal amount.

 

When creating an invoice or estimate in QuickBooks Online, you can add line items for the products or services you are billing for. Each line item typically includes a description, quantity, rate, and amount. QuickBooks Online automatically generates the subtotal line and appears below the line items, summing up the amounts of all the line items.

 

The subtotal line helps provide a clear breakdown of the charges to your customers and for calculating any applicable taxes or discounts based on the subtotal amount. It helps present a comprehensive view of the charges before making adjustments. 

 

I've replicated it on my end using a mobile app, and I see that I can add a subtotal line in the invoices or estimates using a mobile app. But I want to verify if the subtotal line you're referring to is the Add subtotal in the web when creating invoices or estimates. Please see the screenshots attached below:

There seems to be 2 different types of "subtotal lines". 

 

First, there is a final subtotal that is outside of the grid of line items.

 

Second, there are potentially multiple subtotal lines within the grid of line items that are each added when the button is clicked in the website and each of these lines subtotals the line items above it up to the previous subtotal line.

 

I am referring to the 2nd type of subtotal line.  After the subtotal lines are added in the website they appear in the mobile app and can be removed with the red circle (minus) button, but I don't see a way to add them in the mobile app.
