Hello,

when accepting expenses in bank transactions on qb mobile app, I then have to go back to expenses tab to add receipt attachments.

can receipts be added in the bank transactions directly before accepting expenses?

it would save so much time.

Hi Yanisx, thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'll be happy to provide a workaround that may help you in the process of managing expenses in QuickBooks.

While attaching receipts to transactions before accepting expenses is unavailable for the meantime in the QuickBooks Mobile app, this feature is readily available in the QuickBooks Online using your browser.

If you are using mobile web browser you can follow these steps:

  1. Access QuickBooks Online through your web browser.
  2. Click the Ellipsis on the top left corner to expand the menu.

  3. Go to Transactions tab, then select the bank.

  4. Scroll up to view all the transaction, then click the transaction you want to attach or add receipts.

  5. Scroll up again to view the options, and click the Add attachment.
  6. Upload your receipt by choosing from your files or images.
  7. Hit the Confirm button to proceed to categorize and accept the transaction as usual.
(If the Confirm button isn't visible, try scrolling or swiping to the left side of the page. It might be hidden off-screen.)

If you are using a browser in your computer, you can follow this steps:

  1. Login to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Transactions.

  3. In the Bank transactions, select the bank tile you want to add a receipt.
  4. Select the transaction you want to attach the receipt to from the list below.

  5. Hit the Add attachment to add the receipt from you file.
  6. Click the Confirm button.

QuickBooks accepts receipts in PDF, JPEG, JPG, GIF, and PNG formats. If you have HEIC images from newer iPhones or iPads, you'll need to convert them to one of these supported formats before uploading.

Before uploading receipts, please ensure to cover up any personal info like credit card numbers or government identifiers.

Moreover, you can also upload your receipts in QuickBooks Online to save time tracking and recording your receipts.
